This entry level course is designed for those who have specific trade skills but wish to use rope access as a method of gaining access to their worksite. The practical content of this course includes the basic principles of movement on ropes – ascent, descent, changing from ascent to descent, changing from rope to rope, passing a deviation, use of a back-up system – elementary rigging and rope management, and different types of rescue.

Industrial climbers who need to access all types of structures. This course is suitable for newcomers to rope access work, no previous rope access qualifications are required. You must be comfortable with exposure to height.
To give delegates the basic required knowledge and skills to safely work on ropes and rescue a person suspended or incapacitated at height.
This course complies with AFS2006:6, AFS2006:4 and AFS2001:03.
