- Important information
- This method of operation is used when you need to continuously lift a person up / down suspended in a harness. The user is always connected to the fall arrest block and main winch, preferably the D-ring in the chest (fall arrest block) and in the ventral D-ring (winch). The cable on the fall arrest block is retractable and automatically rolls in and out as you lift or lower with the main winch. If the main winch fail or if the user falls, the fall arrest block immediately stops the fall. If there is a need for lifting, you will use one of the two winches. The reason why you need a main lifting winch is that the rescue winch on the fall arrest block is only intended for emergency use, and not for continuous use as the main winch.
