Competent Person PPE Inspection
Has the product been put into service? What is a product record? Can this full-body harness be trusted? Is this screw-gate carabiner approved? What does EN 361 mean? Are your products approved, or is it time to retire them? Do you have the right routines and protocols? This course clears up the concepts regarding the statutory periodic inspection of personal fall protection equipment.
Target Group
Personnel who will perform periodic or exceptional inspections of personal fall protection equipment. The course is primarily aimed at products from the brands CAMP and Innotech, which we distribute exclusively in Sweden, but you are of course also permitted to perform inspections on other brands.
Prerequisites for the Course
For the student to absorb the course content in the best possible way, a good level of theoretical and practical knowledge about personal fall protection equipment and how it is used in various fall protection systems is required. We recommend a prerequisite level equivalent to our 2-day course "Planning, Work and Rescue with Personal Fall Protection Equipment". If you have completed another fall protection training but feel your knowledge level may need a boost, we recommend reading the sections "Basic Information on Fall Protection Equipment" and "Risks when Working with Personal Fall Protection Equipment" in our Fall Protection Guide. Knowledge is easy to carry, it just takes time to acquire!
