Planning, Work and Rescue with personal fall protection equipment
This comprehensive and quality-assured course covers everything from planning to the execution of work, as well as the rescue of a person in distress using personal fall protection equipment in personal fall protection systems. Working with this type of protective equipment requires careful planning and risk assessment. Crucially, it demands knowledge and understanding of risks, how to assemble a system, and the limitations of the equipment. Understanding the importance of user instructions, inspection, and equipment maintenance is also essential.
Target Group
Personnel with occupational health and safety responsibilities, and workers for whom the use of personal fall protection equipment is the chosen measure within the systematic occupational health and safety management to prevent the risk of falls from height.
Course Objectives
Upon completion of the course, the student shall have acquired the understanding and skills necessary to safely and correctly plan work based on the Swedish Work Environment Act and the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations. The student will also be able to safely and correctly work and perform the rescue of a person in distress using personal fall protection equipment in 4 different personal fall protection systems.
Requirements for Passing
The course includes a theoretical examination. To pass, the student must score at least 20 out of 25 correct answers on the theoretical examination. In the event of a failed exam, a re-examination may be taken immediately. Upon passing, a course certificate valid for 3 years is issued.

Practice rescuing a person in distress to a higher level after a vertical free fall, using two types of equipment:
- Rescue lifting device: CAMP Cobra Lift – EN 1496 Class B
- Rescue lifting device: MARK Robin Hub – EN 1496 Class A and B
Practice self-evacuation from height using the following rescue system:
- Descender device for rescue: CAMP Druid – EN 341 Type 2 Class A
