6.4 Cleaning, storage and transport

Incorrect cleaning or storage may reduce the protective performance of equipment even when the damage is not obvious.

Protect the equipment from factors that the manufacturer states may affect it, for example:

• moisture,
• heat,
• UV radiation,
• chemicals,
• contamination,
• sharp objects,
• other mechanical effects.

Clean, dry, store and transport the equipment in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.

Remember

How equipment is stored and cared for affects whether it remains safe to use.
