Rescue needs to be planned when a foreseeable event may leave the person unable to reach a safe place without assistance.
Examples include:
- an arrested fall,
- injury or sudden illness,
- becoming suspended,
- ending up in a position from which the person cannot continue without assistance.
Planning must be based on the actual workplace and the risks present there.
Remember
If a person may depend on assistance to reach a safe place, rescue needs to be planned.
